BTLock System for traditional implantology, Next Generation System,
is created around BTLock patented connection (BTLock Locking
System) and it is developed in order to provide professional with the
widest application area and a full range of prosthetic solutions.
BTLock research has developed different aspects of the Next
Generation System, with special focus on:
• Fixture Shape (periodontal neck, shape and thread)
• Colour Code
• Osseointegrating Surfaces
• Size Options
• Packaging
BTLock prosthetic parts, which are matchable with all the implant lines
(being the diameter equal), provide the professional with one of the
widest range of options in the market (150 options, among them: castable,
standard, angled, aesthetic, aesthetic angled, shoulder, overturned
conical, screwable, threaded, UCLA, transmucosal, passive, zirconium,
and overdenture in 5 different diameters and various options for
the transmucosal neck’s height), for every kind of restoration (single,
multiple, bar-retained, and overdenture) and for every kind of technique
(one or two stages).
The accessory part is complete and easy for clinical use. Considering
that a too wide choice may cause confusion in day-by-day practice,
the instrumentations has been provided of essential features to allow a
better use, such as colour-code (for a quick diameter identification)
and laser markings on the drills (to identify quicly the necessary depth).

BTLock fixture-abutment Locking System was created by a co-operation
of implantologists, technicians, and engineers.
The system, internationally patented and defined as ‘twice anti-rotational,
asymmetric, multi-levelled internal connection’, features three
concavities asymmetricly milled on three of the six sides of the internal
hexagon. The connection is 2,96 mm deep.
This kind of original connection between fixture and abutment allows
a better tightening and a better distribution of chewing forces.
Micromovements are reduced to the minimum. Micromovements are
usually responsible for deformation of traditional hexagon, with loosening
or even failure of the through screw.
One further original and exclusive feature of the system is the conical
bevel on the fixture with countershape on the abutment. These two elements
allow a perfect matching between fixture and abutment, without
exceeding profiles, or gaps. This high precision avoids any fluid infiltration
or stagnation and firmly contributes to reduce the danger of periimplant
sulcus inflammation caused by bacteria.
The advantages of BTLock connection are the followings:
•Double anti-rotational level and high mechanical stability of the
connection.
• Abutment positioning without need of intra-oral radiograph to verify
the right position.
• Strong tightening between fixture and abutment, which provides stability
and strength to the implant and avoids a too high stress on the
through screw.
• No fluid or bacteria penetration and then a good peri-implant hygiene.
• Decrease of “V-shaped” reabsorption on the cortical.
