Introduction

BTLock MINI Implant is the solution for immediate and long-term stabilization of removable prostheses. The system features a wide range of options about:

• Diameter
• Length
• Prosthetic part

Mini Implants are available in 3 diameters (2 - 2,50 - 3 mm) and 3 lengths (11,50 - 13 - 16 mm). Implant length includes the machine-cut collar (1,50 mm) and the threaded part which features BT-Tite surface (a combination of sandblasting and acid-etching).

Four prosthetic solutions are available:

• Teflon cap with o-ring
• Metal and plastic o-ring
• Metal cap with o-ring
• Retaining cap

Static testings performed on Mini implant gave as result a breaking-point equalling 190 Ncm (2 mm diameter). Torsion testing gave as result a breaking point equalling 95 Ncm.

Mini Implant insertion is a simple surgical procedure that does not require specific knowledge of advanced surgery. Related kit is simple as the procedure: 1 pilot drill (in order to give direction and depth), 2 twist drills (necessary to enlarge the site in case of hard bone), 1 ratchet, 1 extension for ratchet, 1 adaptor for micromotor; 1 straight key (for insertion by hand).

BTLock Mini implants are individually packed and gammaray sterilised. Each implant is complete of implant-carrier in order to avoid any contamination during insertion.
